Richard already posted this, but I will reiterate (and elaborate):

The NIRSA Day 5k Fun Run/Walk will be held Feb. 19th @ 9:00 AM. The cost is $10 for students (with ID). Prizes will be awarded to the top female and male overall, top female and male masters(40 yrs. and over), and top three female and male in several age categories. There will be refreshments, music, etc. after the race, and participants receive a free T-shirt. And most important of all, proceeds from this race will benefit the UNITY Teen Advisory Board, helping them to continue to promote youth leadership, alcohol and drug prevention, and an overall healthy lifestyle for their teen peers in the community.

Applications for the race are available for download at www.StatesboroPacers.com or I can bring you an application because I have about 2349837 of them.

Disturbing statistic: The animal shelter here puts down 90% of the pets that come to them.
Also disturbing: Every year in May about 300 cats and dogs (or more) are brought into the shelter by college students going home for the summer, thinking their pets will be adopted soon. The majority of these are euthanized.

Please contact the Humane Society or Bulloch Independent Animal Rescue instead of going to the shelter.

I think my psat scores were sent out recently. I keep getting mail and e-mail from colleges I haven't heard of. I look at all of them but never pay much attention unless they are in Georgia or the region around it...eh. I have to get HOPE and I really don't plan on going too far from home.

I wish I had seen Embodyment...I hope they come back to the area sometime soon. And some other bands too...but they most likely won't because they're over in Europe or Australia...so :(.

We had a psychology newsletter meeting today. Only three people showed up...but we're going to change that. One of the big criticisms from the last issue was that the editorial staff was only representative of a very small portion of the student body. So we are in the process of forming an advisory board to try and get input from a group showing a more diverse array of backgrounds. And the articles should be better too...we're doing some interviews, trying to make them more personal. Basically we are just trying to let more people know about the newsletter and feel like they are included or can relate to what we're writing. So yeah...if anyone has more suggestions, tell us. We would love to hear them :)
