Richard already posted this, but I will reiterate (and elaborate):

The NIRSA Day 5k Fun Run/Walk will be held Feb. 19th @ 9:00 AM. The cost is $10 for students (with ID). Prizes will be awarded to the top female and male overall, top female and male masters(40 yrs. and over), and top three female and male in several age categories. There will be refreshments, music, etc. after the race, and participants receive a free T-shirt. And most important of all, proceeds from this race will benefit the UNITY Teen Advisory Board, helping them to continue to promote youth leadership, alcohol and drug prevention, and an overall healthy lifestyle for their teen peers in the community.

Applications for the race are available for download at www.StatesboroPacers.com or I can bring you an application because I have about 2349837 of them.

P.S. By the way, I have a new job now. I'm working with UNITY stuff about 10 hours a week....just thought that might help explain the entry above.

Disturbing statistic: The animal shelter here puts down 90% of the pets that come to them.
Also disturbing: Every year in May about 300 cats and dogs (or more) are brought into the shelter by college students going home for the summer, thinking their pets will be adopted soon. The majority of these are euthanized.

Please contact the Humane Society or Bulloch Independent Animal Rescue instead of going to the shelter.
